About the Company:

The company are a well-respected Mechanical Building Services contractor located on the outskirts of Romford, Essex. Specialising in commercial and office fit-out projects, they offer complete Mechanical services from initial concept through to commissioning. Project values range from £20,000 to £2 million. 

With a solid pipeline of work and continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their close-knit, dynamic team.

The Role:

As Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in the tendering and pre-construction phases of projects. You’ll be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical services, collaborating across internal teams and external partners to ensure bids are both commercially viable and technically sound.

Senior Mechanical Estimator - Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems.
• Analyse tender documentation, drawings, and specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and delivery times.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project goals.
• Prepare bills of quantities and submit detailed quotations.
• Attend pre and post-tender meetings when required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services sector.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and current market rates.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
