About the Role

The purpose of the Business Development Manager is to ensure continued, profitable growth and increased market share within the SME business travel sector.

You will manage the acquisition of profitable new clients and help support the Travel Counsellor community to grow and develop their businesses, supporting Travel Counsellors ambitious growth plans.

New client acquisition will:

a) Build the portfolios of our new and existing Corporate TCs

b) Continue to build on our YoY growth rate

c) Enhance and develop our brand into the wider SME sector

d) Continue to evolve our TC Teams offering allowing TCs to 'grow and scale'



Principal Accountabilities

  • Build the portfolios of ambitious entrepreneurs by delivering new accounts to truly change their lives and scale their businesses.
  • Generate new leads by sourcing prospects from our target industry sectors and cold calling key decision makers.
  • Determine key stakeholders and proactively build relationships.
  • Develop client solution proposals in conjunction with internal support teams.
  • Build and leverage internal relationships to achieve outcomes.

Essential Skills

  • Currently working for a travel management company (or in a similar role) with significant experience in a sales-driven environment
  • Be comfortable managing the entire end-to-end sales process from lead generation through to implementation
  • Prior experience working in a sales position within business travel
  • Ability to build and maintain outstanding relationships at all levels
  • Excellent negotiation skills
