You will play a key role in ensuring product safety through hazard identification, risk assessment, and compliance with MOD safety standards.  Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Safety & Environmental Case (SEC) documentation.
  • Create and manage Product Hazard Logs.
  • Conduct safety reviews of engineering designs to ensure alignment with internal frameworks and MOD safety standards (e.g., Def Stan 00-056, DSA 03.OME).
  • Support project teams with safety-related input for bids and designs.
  • Perform hazard analysis techniques including FMEA and FTA.
  • Contribute to the delivery of conforming, safe products.
Skills & Experience (not all essential)
  • Experience with the engineering lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with UK MOD standards (Def Stan 00-056, DSA 03.OME).
  • Demonstrated ability to produce technical safety reports and ALARP arguments
  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical safety information to varied audiences.
