Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking skilledMechanical Fittersto join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a pneumatic background, possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various fabrication techniques. This role involves assembling and welding components to create high-quality products, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Working on site with accomodation, weekend work available and overtime rates.

Duties

• Fabricate and assemble metal components using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform welding tasks, including stick welding, to join metal parts securely.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards.
• Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fitting, fabrication, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.
• Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous.
• Basic maths skills are essential for accurate measurements and calculations.
• A commitment to safety practices in the workplace is required.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
