Full time, 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday. 36 hours a week

Role Purpose
To support the Financial Systems Team in maintaining and developing the organisations Oracle Fusion financial systems (ERP and EPM), ensuring they align with internal structures and support accurate budget monitoring, statutory reporting, and system access control.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities (All Grades)
- Support system alignment with the organisation’s management structures and Finance Business Partner input.
- Maintain user access and roles, ensuring compliance with delegation and security protocols.
- Update and manage system codes and structures (e.g., GL, AP, AR, P2P), ensuring compliance with SERCOP and organisation policies.
- Maintain establishment data within EPM, aligning with budget holders.
- Monitor financial interfaces and ensure accurate data across income and expenditure.
- Prepare system data and reports as requested.
- Assist internal/external audits and respond to queries.
- Provide guidance to Finance staff on using financial systems and interpreting data.
- Remain up to date with the organisation’s financial, payroll, and income systems.
Additional Responsibilities (POA Grade)
- Manage specific financial models and the budget monitoring process.
- Take responsibility for month-end system processes (e.g., EPM roll-forward, ERP close-down).
- Undertake project work and system enhancements as assigned.
- Represent the Financial Systems Team in meetings and presentations.
- Support testing and provide feedback on system upgrades and new features.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Essential (SO1): 3 GCSEs (including Maths and English) or equivalent; AAT qualified or equivalent experience
- Essential (POA): Passed first year of a CCAB accounting qualification or equivalent experience
Experience
- Significant local government finance experience
- Experience with financial systems in large, complex organisations
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and local authority finance
- Familiarity with General Ledger systems
- Analytical, well-organised, and able to meet tight deadlines
