Job Advertisement: Executive Officer (Administration & Governance)

Location: Pield Heath House School
Reporting to: Principal

Our client are seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Officer (Administration & Governance) to provide high-level administrative support to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team, manage school-wide administration systems, and lead on SEND and governance administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide confidential executive-level support to the Principal and SLT.

  • Oversee SEND admin, including EHCP Annual Reviews and maintaining accurate records.

  • Lead on admissions coordination, consultations, and parent liaison.

  • Manage and maintain the schools MIS systems and student records.

  • Act as Clerk to the Governing Body, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.

  • Liaise with local authorities, external agencies, and internal stakeholders.

  • Support strategic planning and improve administrative processes across the school.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Strong experience in school administration and MIS (e.g., Arbor or SIMS)

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, and attention to detail

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure

  • Familiarity with SEND processes and EHCP administration

Desirable:

  • Qualification in governance or school administration

  • Experience clerking for a Governing Body

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
