Executive Officer - covering HR, Data, Administration & Governance

Our client is seeking a highly organised and efficient Executive Officer to support the Senior Leadership Team. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the setting, providing comprehensive administrative, HR, data management, and governance support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Provide confidential secretarial and administrative support to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Serve as a tactful and confidential liaison between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organise and prepare for meetings, including paperwork preparation, note circulation, and action completion.
  • Ensure statutory information is up-to-date on the school website in collaboration with the IT Lead.
  • Manage HR processes such as recruitment, selection, and employee induction, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Maintain the Single Central Record (SCR) and ensure all pre-employment checks are completed timely.
  • Oversee the school's data processing activities as the named Data Processing Officer, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Coordinate the performance management cycles and maintain the BlueSky database for staff performance and CPD.
  • Prepare and update staff and parent handbooks and manage the school's generic email accounts.
  • Act as the Clerk to the Governing Body, scheduling and minuting meetings, and ensuring governance compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data management.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in using MIS systems and familiar with GDPR and other compliance regulations.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
