We are seeking an Operational Manager for Apprenticeships in Engineering for a FE College Group based in West London for their Technical Apprenticeship School. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of our engineering apprenticeships through both levy and non-levy funding, meeting regional economic needs with high-quality recruitment, retention, and achievement rates.
Main Responsibilities-
Apprentice Recruitment and Induction:
- Coordinate with the Apprenticeship and Skills team to ensure timely information and guidance is provided to potential applicants.
- Design and deliver effective induction programmes, ensuring comprehensive involvement from employers and internal teams.

Programme Design and Delivery:
- Collaborate with employers to tailor training plans that meet both educational and industry standards.
- Ensure the alignment of training plans with assessment schedules to maximise apprentice success.

Quality and Curriculum Management:
- Maintain high standards of curriculum delivery, assess teaching methods, and ensure compliance with external verifiers and educational standards.
- Regularly update and communicate with employers about apprentice progress and curriculum developments.

Management and Leadership:
- Manage curriculum and staffing for engineering apprenticeships.
- Act as a line manager for assessors and lecturers, ensuring efficient delivery and progress.

Essential:
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related subject.
- Level 5 teaching qualification recognised for the FE sector (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE, DET).
- Proven experience in teaching or assessing in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing educational programs and teams.
