As theHealth and Safety Manager, you'll be the driving force behind all Health and Safety initiatives across a variety of mechanical, electrical, and building services projects. From CDM plans,policy development and site inspections to training and stakeholder engagement, you'll ensure a culture of safety is embedded throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of H&S policies and systems across all operations
- Conduct regular site inspections.
- Conduct and review risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and ensure all work is planned and executed safely.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Support project teams and subcontractors with expert advice and practical solutions
- Deliver training, inductions, and toolbox talks to staff and contractors
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and other relevant UK legislation
- Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement using safety KPIs
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety leadership role withinConstruction or Engineering.
- Health & Safety Qualifications -NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (IOSH Chartered Membership desirable)
- In-depth knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation (CDM Regs, RIDDOR, PUWER, LOLER, etc.).
- Strong background in Health and Safety within building services or construction (MEP experience a bonus)
- Confident communicator who can influence teams
- Hands-on, practical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
This role will be based in Hillingdon but will require regular site visits across London. You must be within a commutable distance from the Head Office.
