AI Architect – Global MedTech Leader
Location: Hybrid (London – Minimum once a week in the office)
Salary: £87,000 - £92,000 + 15% Bonus + Benefits

La Fosse are proud to partner with a global leader in medical technology seeking an AI Architect to shape their AI strategy and drive innovation across the business. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI initiatives, leveraging Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and OpenAI to develop solutions across MedTech, IoT, R&D, and personalisation.

The Role

As AI Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in defining the AI landscape, reporting directly to the Chief Architect. This role is a 50/50 split between hands-on development and strategic oversight, requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across 80 countries.

You'll explore off-the-shelf AI solutions (SAP, Dynamics, etc.) while also driving internal AI experimentation and ensuring compliance, governance, and architectural best practices. This is an ideal move for a seasoned Data Scientist or Lead Data Engineer looking to step into AI leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and streamline AI initiatives (10-15 per year), ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Develop AI solutions using LLMs, computer vision, and cutting-edge AI applications.

  • Work hands-on with Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and OpenAI technologies.

  • Identify AI opportunities across regulated content, IoT, R&D, and commercial optimisation.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in product innovation, corporate finance, and data architecture.

About You

  • Strong background in Data Science, AI, or Data Engineering.

  • Experience in a regulated industry (MedTech, Pharmaceuticals, CPG, etc.) is a plus.

  • Expertise in AI governance, cloud architecture, and compliance frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure-based AI solutions (Azure Functions, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).

  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with high-level strategic thinking.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
