The school is seeking an adaptable and engaging team player to take on this role, as SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND LSA. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant / LSA will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.

The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, and challenging behaviours. The pupils are taught in smaller class sizes and work towards an Equals Semi-Formal Curriculum and National Curriculum expectations where appropriate.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND LSA will have:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
  • Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
  • Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent
  • Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
