Electrical & Electronic Engineering Technician – Full-Time or Part Time Opportunities – FE College – Permanent – Uxbridge
Role: Electrical & Electronic Engineering Technician
Salary: £25,928 to £29,815 per annum including London Weighting - pro-rata for part time posts
Location: Uxbridge, London
Contract: Permanent – Full time (36 hours) / Part time (21.6 hours) – 52 weeks per year
Working pattern for the part time post will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
Deadline: 23rd April 2025

At Clarus Education, we are supporting a FE college who are seeking Electrical & Electronic Technicians to support students and staff in their Electrical / Electronic Engineering section.  

You would be expected to: 
•    Prepare and maintain equipment for use by lecturing staff and students
•    Demonstrate the use of equipment and support the teaching teams in their delivery of the curriculum
•    Supervise students in the workshop ensuring that they comply with health and safety requirements and good workshop practice

You will need to: 
•    Possess a Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
•    Have relevant experience in this area and the ability to work effectively with young people aged 16 – 19
•    Have a good understanding of health and safety requirements
•    Have good communication and interpersonal skills

*Please note, the FE college are unable to offer sponsorship for this role*

Qualifications
•    Level 3 qualification in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering

Knowledge and Experience
•    Relevant experience in the area of Electrical / Electronic Engineering
•    Up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety requirements applied to workshop environment
•    Good communication skills, written and verbal
•    Good interpersonal skills
•    Experience of working in a training environment or with young people
•    Ability to work effectively with vocational learners aged 16-19
•    IT skills or willingness to develop them
•    Ability to work effectively as part of a team
•    Continuing professional development
•    Self-motivation
•    Understanding of and commitment to Equal Opportunities and Safeguarding within education
•    Commitment to learners and learner achievement
