Exciting Opportunity: Assembly Operative - Annex

Are you a skilled and detail-oriented individual looking to contribute to a mission that saves lives? This company is seeking a dedicated Assembly Operative to join their team in the Fitting Annex at their Denham site.



About the Role

As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling and inspecting a range of complex sub-assemblies, such as Powered Retraction Units, Snubbers, and Auto Deployment Units. Using technical drawings, build plans, and acceptance test procedures, you will ensure the highest quality standards are met in the manufacture of ejection seats.

Your key duties will include:

  • Assembling kits of components to the required specifications using hand tools and other assembly equipment
  • Inspecting and testing products to the necessary tolerances and technical specifications using a variety of gauges and automated inspection equipment
  • Conducting inspections of finished articles and first-offs using the company's standards and procedures


What We're Looking For

The ideal Assembly Operative candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Good working knowledge of engineering drawings and the use of hand tools and gauges
  • Basic understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
