Temporary Join a well-established Housing Association in Hillingdon as a Housing Triage Officer and play a key role in preventing homelessness and supporting vulnerable individuals in need of housing assistance. THE ROLE
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Housing Triage Officer to join a busy Housing Advice & Options service in Hillingdon. You will be responsible for triaging housing enquiries, carrying out assessments, and delivering advice and support to prevent homelessness in the community.
  • Provide frontline triage assessments and housing advice at the reception desk
  • Carry out thorough assessments of housing needs and risks
  • Deliver effective homelessness prevention and relief support in line with legislation
  • Develop and implement Personalised Housing Plans for clients
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records in line with policy
  • Liaise with external agencies including local authorities and support services
  • Offer continued advice and support to those in temporary accommodation
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar Housing Options or Homelessness Prevention role, with a sound understanding of relevant legislation and strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 (Part VII) and Homelessness Reduction Act
  • Experience in triage, homelessness enquiries, and drafting s184 decision letters
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet service deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals and delivering services under pressure
THE CONTRACT
WORKING HOURS: Full Time, 36 Hours
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 3 Month Contract, Temp with potential for extension
RATE: The pay for the role is 24.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is 20.59 per hour, inclusive of holiday. HOW TO APPLY
