SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Phonics Lead)
Location: Hillingdon, West London
Salary: £140 - £160 per day (dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded SEND provision in West London.
This position primarily involves working with students aged 11 to 17, with opportunities to collaborate across different areas of the school as part of a dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary team.
We are seeking an innovative, adaptable, and compassionate individual with a strong ability to engage and support children with additional needs—particularly those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
You will be part of a creative and nurturing team, with access to comprehensive training and ongoing professional development to help you grow in your role and beyond.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be passionate about working in a specialist education environment, embracing the unique rewards and challenges it offers

Demonstrate a warm, empathetic approach, with a commitment to delivering inclusive, engaging, and inspiring learning experiences

Hold a HLTA qualification or have equivalent experience in a similar role

Be ready to lead on Phonics within the setting and support literacy development across the curriculum
