Application Support Engineer * 3

Location: Uxbridge (Hybrid 2 days per week)

Salary: To £44k very strong benefits (22% pension, flex working, 35 hour week, up to 40 days holiday)

These roles are part of an exciting new Application Support Team that will provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for a range of software applications, ensuring their stability, security, and performance. The role also includes managing configuration changes, patching, and working closely with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 and 3 support for application-related issues
  • Implement configuration changes and application enhancements
  • Perform regular patching to maintain security and performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents efficiently
  • Conduct security assessments and apply necessary controls
  • Manage and prioritise support tickets, addressing critical issues promptly
  • Collaborate with development teams on testing and deployment
  • Maintain technical and user-facing documentation
  • Represent business needs in technical sprints and planning activities
  • Align IT services with business objectives through effective relationship management
  • Communicate progress and escalate issues to relevant stakeholders
  • Use data insights to inform and optimise application improvements
  • Review systems and processes for continuous improvement
  • Deliver user training to staff and students across all levels
