- Prepare components for painting, including masking, unmasking, and surface cleaning
- Carry out abrasive cleaning, shot blasting, and vibration deburring
- Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to ensure correct specifications
- Inspect and quality check surfaces before and after paint application
- Operate finishing equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Previous experience in a paint prepper, finishing, or similar role (automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing)
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings
- Skilled in using basic measuring equipment and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and safe handling of materials
