We are looking for a driven and passionate Design Co-Ordinator who is looking to grow and develop their career at an industry leading company on a permanent basis.

To support all the design delivery from bid stage right through to completion of a project. This requires assessing, developing and implementing strategies and plans created by Senior Design / Design Managers that will successfully deliver a solution that is assured and compliant to the clients requirement; delivers the safety, sustainability and environmental objectives, its cost effective and best value, within the constraints of the clients timescales.

The Design Co-Ordinator is responsible for supporting the Design management department lead to ensure that the Design delivery strategy and plan achieve the following objectives.

  • The design meets, without unnecessarily exceeding, the clients specifications or Employers Requirements
  • The design adheres to cost constraints or improves upon them
  • The design is practical and buildable
  • The design prioritizes safety during construction and operation
  • The design is delivered in time to enable the procurement of robust tenders
  • The design is completed in alignment with the construction programme requirements

Experience Required

  • Design & Engineering construction knowledge
  • Technical & Building construction knowledge
  • Knowledge of current Building Regulations
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety / CDM Regulations
  • Experience of Coordinating, managing, and providing technical guidance
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the planning process and ideally previous success working with varying London authorities
  • Collaboration with internal departments to produce Contractors Proposal documents
  • Analyses and interrogation of enquiry documents, including employers requirements
  • Oversee the thorough investigation of value engineering and value creation opportunities
  • Lead and manage the Operation & Maintenance process for all assigned projects
