The Role of the Maintenance Engineer

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all CNC machines and equipment within the Machine Shop. Your primary duties will include:

  • Implementing a comprehensive Total Preventative Maintenance schedule to minimise downtime and meet production targets
  • Replacing worn parts and wiring in accordance with machine manuals and specifications
  • Repairing machines and equipment as needed, collaborating with external suppliers as required
  • Transporting materials and finished parts/components to the necessary locations using forklift trucks and lifting equipment
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate for this Maintenance Engineer role will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certified in IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Forklift licence
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment, with expertise in CNC machine tools (5-axis machining centres and CNC turning machines)
  • GCSE passes in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Strong manual dexterity and problem-solving abilities
