************************* Maintenance Engineer******************************

We have a great opportunity to work for a Global leader within the aerospace/defence sector.

We are looking for a CNC Maintenance Engineer to join the team of this well-established family run British manufacturing company.

Hours will be 08.00-16.45 Monday to Thursday and 08.00-12.00 Fridays.

Salary £36K-£40K + amazing benefits + optional overtime at a generous rate.

Main duties

Follow Total Preventative Maintenance schedule for machines and equipment including checking and changing of lubricants, coolants

Replacement of worn parts and wiring in accordance with machine manuals and specifications.

Repair machines and equipment as needed bring in external suppliers as required.

Transport materials and finished parts and components to the required locations using the forklift truck and lifting equipment.

Ensure that;

• Processes are carried out in accordance with laid down SOP’s within the Department

• Required quality standards are achieved

• All relevant Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times including Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, SSW’s arising from RA’s/COSHH and Material Safety Data Sheets

Assist in the successful implementation of ongoing Lean Initiatives including:

• 5S activities

• Continuous Improvement programmes

Handle materials, goods and components carefully and comply with safety regulations and handling/processing instructions so that:

• Components are not damaged through mishandling or faulty processing

• Accidents do not occur through negligence or mishandling.

To monitor and maintain the fitness for purpose of tools and equipment and provide for their replacement and/or recalibration so that tools and equipment are in good condition.

To report any dangerous practices and other dangers such as faulty equipment to local supervision so that all operations are at all times

Requirements

Fork Lift licence

Ability to use hand tools and testers

Certifies IEE 17 editionwiring regulations
