Join us on this mission as an Assembly Operative working in our Pipes Department at our Denham site. You'll be undertaking a variety of manufacturing operations to ensure that all types of products have been deburred, polished and any other processes required have been carried out to the correct quality standard.

Aspects of the role include to:

  • Using programe cards to be able to cut pipes using an electric saw.
  • Set and operate pipe bending machines.
  • Hand fitting pipes to the relevant form blocks and digital measuring equipment, making any adjustments necessary.
  • Carry out inspections in accordance with quality standards and issue the appropriate certificates and stamps.
  • To monitor the fitness for purpose of tools and equipment and provide for their replacement and/or recalibration

Characteristics & Skills

  • Advanced deburring techniques desirable.
  • Metal Polishing.
  • Broad experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Basic manufacturing/engineering background.
