Assembly Technician

The Role

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of assembly and inspection tasks to produce and test cables, pipes, high-pressure hoses, and gun components. You will work closely with the team to ensure that all components are assembled to the required quality standards and in accordance with work schedules.

Your key duties as an Assembly Technician will include:

  • Accurately interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions to identify part numbers, drawing issues, relevant ADRs, process specifications, and finishes
  • Mask kit components and parts to be blasted and bond/glue parts together
  • Employing appropriate techniques to carry out tasks according to standard operating procedures and quality standards
  • Performing self-inspection and quality checks on your work
  • Actively participating in lean initiatives and continuous improvement programmes
  • Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment


The Ideal Candidate

The company is seeking an Assembly Technician with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Basic manufacturing or engineering background with familiarity of engineering hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and related ADRs
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies, procedures, and COSHH regulations
  • Strong IT skills and a good standard of education
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Solid verbal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team or independently
