Are you a hands-on technician with experience in assembly or fine component work, looking to join a well-established manufacturer offering full training on specialist products and clear progression routes into engineering and management?

This long-standing manufacturer supplies precision technology to a global market across industrial, scientific and medical sectors. They are renowned for their commitment to training and developing their staff, and have a proven track record of promoting from within.


In this role, you will be working as part of a supportive team, carrying out mechanical assembly, prototyping, and testing of specialist devices. You will also work with sub-assemblies, cabling, and PCBs, with full training provided on all company products and systems.


The ideal candidate will have experience working with small components (such as soldering, cable assembly, or PCB work), strong hand-eye coordination, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Transferable skills from areas such as sewing, model-making, or painting are also highly valued.


The Role:


  • Mechanical assembly, sub-assemblies, and prototyping

  • Cable and PCB assembly, soldering, and testing

  • Monday to Friday (4.5 day week, early finish Friday)

  • Overtime available to increase earnings


The Person:


  • Experience with assembly, soldering, or small component work

  • Able to read engineering drawings and follow technical instructions

  • Steady hands, good attention to detail, and a can-do attitude

  • Looking for long-term progression into engineering or management

  • Based within commutable distance of Hayes
