Are you passionate about payroll and looking for a unique opportunity to work with a prestigious organisation? This is an internationally renowned educational institution, is seeking a meticulous and driven Payroll Assistant to join their team.

The Role

As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering an efficient and accurate payroll service for their employees and freelance staff.

Working within a complex manual payroll environment, you will manage a wide range of responsibilities, including processing hourly and weekly timesheets, handling amendments, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and process timesheet-based payroll data for a diverse workforce.
  • Manage and verify overtime, adjustments, and variable pay elements.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of payslips, ensuring all deductions are accurate and timely.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with year-end processes, including P11Ds and P60s.
  • Respond to employee queries, providing clear and professional guidance on payroll matters.
  • Contribute to the improvement of payroll systems and processes.

About You

  • Experience in payroll processing, ideally in a timesheet-heavy environment.
  • An understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Confident communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and managers.
  • A proactive attitude, eager to solve problems and enhance payroll efficiency.
