Occupational Therapist - Full time or Part time positions - Temp to Perm

Job Description:

Complete Classroom Services are working with a SEN school located in the vibrant community of Hillingdon, who are looking for a Occupational Therapist to support to primary aged pupils with diverse learning, social and physical needs. They pride themselves on their inclusive approach, tailored interventions, and supportive environment, ensuring every child can thrive and grow.

Location: Hillingdon, London
Start Date: ASAP start.
Contract: Full-time or Part time (temp to perm)
Salary: Band 5/6 (Dependent on Experience)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. As a key member of staff, you will provide crucial support to children with a range of needs, including learning, developmental, and physical challenges. This is a full-time or part time position, but we are open to considering job share arrangements for the right candidates.

As a Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individual needs and develop personalised intervention plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy and support to both individuals and groups of children, addressing their specific goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to support and intervention.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress, and interventions.
  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide strategies to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and training to staff and parents on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.

As a Occupational Therapist, you will be have:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with HCPC.
  • Proven experience in paediatric occupational therapy, ideally within an educational or SEN setting.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with special educational needs and the ability to tailor interventions accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and set therapeutic goals effectively.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
