Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3-4, and potentially A-Level, encouraging reflective thinking about religious, ethical, and personal beliefs.
Inspire students to develop their own reflective capacities and to engage in introspection about the topics explored.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the RE curriculum, promoting reflective learning and personal development.
Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Religious Education, with a focus on the depth of their reflection.
Foster a classroom environment that encourages quiet contemplation, personal inquiry, and the articulation of reflective insights.

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Psychology, or a related field with an emphasis on personal reflection or spirituality.
Proven experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
Strong subject knowledge across a range of religious and ethical traditions, with an appreciation for reflective practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate reflective discussions and activities.
A commitment to fostering a reflective and introspective learning environment within a supportive setting.
