This College's School of Computing and IT is dedicated to equipping learners with the knowledge and skills demanded by the computing industry. With strong links to over 1,200 employers, the College offers a curriculum that is both industry-led and future-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive Computing courses across Levels 2 to 5, with a focus on Security
  • Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry standards
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for 16-19-year-old students
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student support

What We're Looking For:

  • Educational Background: A degree in a Computing-related subject
  • Teaching Experience: Experience delivering BTEC programmes at Levels 2 to 5
  • Subject Expertise: Knowledge and experience in at least two of the following areas:
    - Virtual Box or equivalent virtualization tools
    - Operating Systems Configuration (Windows and Linux)
    - IT Security
    - IT Systems Support
  • Teaching Qualification: A Level 5 teaching qualification recognised in the FE sector, or a willingness to obtain one with the College's support
