My client is a new care centre attached to an educational service
They are seekinga clinical lead (non nurse acceptable ) for a support lead role for young adults with special educational needs and severe learning difficulties
- Hours: 36 hours per week, fully supernumerary
- 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday(there can be some flexibility on these hours if required )
- £43/45,500 p.aplus 37 days holiday (rising with service)

This lovely new centre will provide a high-quality inclusive learning environment for over 60 SEND students, and improve outcomes for students with special educational needs, including those with severe learning needs (SLD).
It will provide :-
on site therapies
medical services
multi-disciplinary teams, such as Speech and Language therapy
Physiotherapy
The classrooms will feature the latest technologies, and we will also be providing a sensory room, a calm cave, as well as comprehensive care facilities for students. There will also be an external play area with a carefully curated sensory garden.
You will:-
- assess students needs
- liaise with MDTs working alongside medical professionals and physiotherapists speech and language therapy etc to ensure the care assistants and learning support assistants have clear direction to support the learners
- create care plans and update and review as required
- Ensure medication and care standards in line with CQC standards
- Supervise and train staff in the implementation of care plans
- Liaise with the safeguarding lead , MDTs and families regularly
You will be:-
- a registered nurse , qualified nursing associate or senior team care leader in social care
- Have experienceof care plans and supervising carers
- Be knowledge about CQC and care standards
- Be conversant with Health and Safety, manual handlingand safeguarding
- Ideally have experienceof SEND and young people although this is not essential . If you have experience in an elderly care home with sound CQC knowledge this is a transferable skill
