An Alternative Provision in Uxbridge is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a Maths specialism to support pupils who may face barriers to learning, both academically and emotionally.

The Role
  • Provide targeted Maths support to students, both 1:1 and in small groups.

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.

  • Support students with additional learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.

  • Help track progress and implement strategies to raise attainment in Maths.

  • Encourage students’ confidence, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths (A-Level or higher desirable).

  • Experience supporting young people with SEMH, SEN, or in Alternative Provision.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire pupils who may have disengaged from education.

  • Resilient, patient, and adaptable with excellent communication skills.

  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
