Job Description:

A welcoming and inclusive primary academy in West London is seeking a passionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone with experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language Delay, or SEMH needs.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions and ensure pupils can access learning in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with EHCPs and identified SEN.
  • Implement personalised strategies to support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to review meetings and target setting.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
  • Promote independence and confidence in pupils through consistent routines and positive reinforcement.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school or childcare setting.
  • Understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
