The Role

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experiencedYear 1 Class Teacherto join our forward-thinking team fromSeptember 2025. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of young learners in an environment that values innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.

As Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 curriculum

  • Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that motivates and engages all pupils

  • Using a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of your learners, including those with SEND and EAL

  • Tracking pupil progress carefully, providing timely feedback, and adapting your approach to ensure excellent outcomes

  • Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school community to support learning and wellbeing

  • Collaborating closely with colleagues within the Key Stage 1 team and across the academy to share best practices and contribute to school improvement

  • Participating actively in whole-school initiatives, events, and professional development programmes

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience teaching Year 1

  • A secure understanding of the EYFS and KS1 statutory frameworks and assessment requirements

  • A creative and reflective practitioner with a commitment to delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire a love of learning

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
