About the Opportunity:

We're expanding our dynamic team and seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator with specific expertise in brickwork to manage the tendering and costing aspects of our subcontract projects. This crucial role offers the chance to take ownership of the financial foundation of our subcontracting packages, with a significant focus on exciting brickwork developments.







Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Preparing and submitting accurate and timely subcontract tenders, including those for brickwork.
  • Analysing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine costing requirements, especially for brickwork elements.
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes, particularly from brickwork contractors.
  • Developing detailed cost breakdowns and pricing schedules, including comprehensive brickwork estimations.
  • Identifying and assessing commercial risks and opportunities within tender submissions, with a keen eye on brickwork projects.
  • Maintaining meticulous records and documentation, specifically related to brickwork costs and quantities.
  • Providing insightful technical and commercial support to project managers and site teams, offering your expertise on brickwork-related costing matters.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our estimating department, sharing best practices for brickwork cost analysis and driving innovation.






What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrable experience and a strong understanding of brickwork processes, costs, and measurement.
  • A solid grasp of tender procedures and contract documentation.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software packages (e.g., Excel, estimating software).
  • The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, demonstrating initiative.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
