RM Recruit are supporting a Yorkshire based Multi Academy Trust in the recruitment of an Interim Management Accountant for their team. This role will support he CFO during a period of change for the Trust and have a duration of 6 months.
The duties for the Management Accountant will include, but not be limited to:
- Accurately and efficiently maintain monthly routines within the finance function to enable timely financial reporting both internally and externally
- Deliver precise and reliable data to support analytical activities across Trust academies and other business functions as required.
- Ensure compliance with period and year-end financial closure deadlines, including the preparation of the Group VAT return, and assist in producing statutory reports for publication and submission by the Trust.
- Take the lead in short-term budget planning for the Trust, and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders in developing annual budgets and medium-term financial forecasts.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes and procedures, aiming to improve efficiency and control, and ensure changes are thoughtfully discussed, approved, and implemented.
Our client can consider part qualified accountants for this role but sector experience is essential. This role can be hybrid or remote providing applicants can demonstrate proven experience Multi Academy Trust settings.
