We are working with a Yorkshire Water Framework Partner to recruit an experienced MEICA Design Engineer

The Role
Coordinate and perform MEICA-related activities for drainage and waste treatment design, ensuring compliance with client specifications and design standards. Responsibilities include preparing design solutions, managing documents, attending meetings, and reviewing team work for accuracy. Collaborate with multiple disciplines, maintain client relationships, manage projects commercially, and ensure up-to-date industry knowledge by attending expos and implementing new technologies. Provide technical guidance to team members, ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, and promote innovation. Lead by example, maintain ISO 9001 and 14001 standards, and foster positive stakeholder relationships.

About You

  • Be a qualified Engineer and ideally chartered or a member of a relevant institution. E.g. ImechE/CEng/IET
  • Have suitable design experience within utilities, gained through working on projects within the UK water sector.
  • Have strong knowledge of the UK Water Industry and Sewer Sector Guidance standards for drainage design.
  • Have expertise in software design methods such AutoCAD and knowledge of integration with BIM models would be desirable.
  • Be technically competent in fundamental asset design principles and ability to apply manual calculation methods where software methods are not available.
  • Have excellent soft skills.
  • Have a willingness to learn, develop and improve skills.
  • Have a full UK driving license.
