We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various types of machinery, supporting general production activities, and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety at all times. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of production machinery safely and efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Monitor equipment and processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Support with the movement and staging of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules.
  • Conduct routine quality checks and report any deviations or defects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Strictly adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, wearing PPE as required.
  • Identify and report potential hazards or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and minimal downtime.
  • Assist with changeovers, setups, and minor machine adjustments where trained and necessary.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
