The Opportunity

A well-established building services contractor is looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of mechanical projects across the commercial and retail sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to take full responsibility for projects from design stage through to final handover, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

This role is well-suited to a motivated professional who thrives in fast-paced, live environments and can lead teams with confidence while maintaining excellent client relationships.



What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing mechanical projects of varying scale, from planning to completion, ensuring targets on cost, quality, and programme are consistently met.

  • Overseeing day-to-day site activities, ensuring compliance with H&S and company standards.

  • Attending site visits and design meetings, offering technical input to optimise solutions.

  • Tracking project progress, financials, and KPIs, preparing detailed reports and CVRs.

  • Promoting a strong Health & Safety culture across all works.

  • Driving best practice, ensuring projects are handed over defect-free.

  • Leading, motivating, and coordinating teams including subcontractors and stakeholders.

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovation.



About You

  • SMSTS and CSCS accreditation are essential.

  • Strong background in delivering mechanical projects within commercial, retail, or related environments.

  • Proven ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Skilled in planning, cost control, and resource management.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.



Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in Building Services, Mechanical/HVAC Engineering, or similar.

  • Additional training such as First Aid and Asbestos Awareness is advantageous.
