As a key part of the team, you will ensure compliance, drive safety culture, and continuously improve HSE performance across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and conducting HSE audits, preparing reports, and providing actionable recommendations to achieve compliance and best practice.
- Monitoring and analysing KPI data to track performance and identify improvement areas.
- Developing and enhancing systems, processes, and procedures that strengthen safety standards.
- Coordinating and delivering engaging training sessions to raise awareness and capability across the workforce.
- Supporting accident investigations, conducting root-cause analysis, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Driving improvement initiatives through cross-functional meetings, project work, and process safety reviews.
- Acting as a trusted advisor, promoting a proactive approach to health, safety, and environmental matters across all levels of the organisation.
Qualification and Skills
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to influence at all levels.
- Proficient IT and reporting skills to track, analyse, and present safety data.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards (advantageous).
- IOSH / NEBOSH certification or equivalent (or willingness to work towards).
- A professional, proactive, and positive approach, with the ability to balance a varied workload and lead by example.
- Full driving licence.
