Are you a Service engineer who is experienced working with Switchgear? If so our client, a manufacturing business with a global presence are looking to appoint a Site Service Engineer to work across the UK and Europe. The successful Site Service Engineer will provide on site servicing, maintenance, installation and fault finding to a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete detailed inspection and functional testing of electrical systems

• Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs to minimise downtime

• Replace or refurbish components as required, ensuring systems are returned to full operation

• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new switchgear and retrofitting equipment

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on LV/HV switchgear and associated equipment

• Perform insulation resistance, contact resistance, and functional tests

• Complete service reports, risk assessments, method statements, and test documentation

• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used

• Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and relevant industry standards

• Identify and report hazards, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks on-site

• Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues and solutions

• Provide professional support and aftercare to ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience working with low and/or high-voltage switchgear

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and test procedures

• Full UK driving licence

• Ability to work independently and travel extensively across the UK

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field
