We're seeking a proactive and compassionate EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant Reception class with a high number of learners requiring additional needs support. This is a rewarding opportunity to work one-to-one and in small groups, helping shape the foundational learning journey of children with diverse educational profiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one support to pupils with SEND, ensuring individual learning goals are met

  • Assist small groups in Reception with structured activities designed to enhance early development

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt resources and strategies

  • Implement speech and language interventions under guidance (if applicable)

  • Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour to contribute to review meetings and EHCPs

  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that supports each child's potential

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting SEND pupils in EYFS or KS1 is essential

  • Strong understanding of common needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language delays

  • A patient, proactive, and consistent approach to classroom support

  • Excellent spoken and written English

  • DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
