We're looking for a compassionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist school setting in Wakefield (WF2). Working full time, 8:45am-3:15pm, Monday to Friday, you'll play a key role in helping pupils access learning and build confidence.
Your Role:

Provide tailored 1:1 and group support for pupils with additional needs

Implement strategies for learning, communication, and emotional regulation

Support with personal care and mobility, including moving and handling
-
Communicate clearly and positively with pupils, staff, and families

Promote independence, inclusion, and positive behaviour
What You'll Need:

Experience in specialist SEND environments is essential

Moving and handling training preferred
-
Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication
-
Resilience, patience, and an empathetic mindset

DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
