Level 2 Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: WakefieldSalary: £39,182.21 per annum + Shift Allowance – Total £44,768.10Shifts: Rotating Shifts

  • 05:45 – 14:00 (Monday – Friday)
  • 13:45 – 22:00 (Monday – Friday)
  • 21:45 – 06:00 (Monday – Friday)
  • Sunday 1 in 3: 06:00 – 13:30

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventive and corrective electrical maintenance across the site’s equipment and systems.
  • Rapidly diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimise disruption to operations.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new electrical machinery and systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in mechanical maintenance activities when required, supporting a multiskilled approach.
  • Follow all site-specific and industry-standard health & safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering teams, and external contractors.
  • Contribute to process improvements and engineering projects.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Level 2 qualification in Maintenance / Engineering 
  • Competency in reading electrical drawings and fault-finding in control systems.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, conveyors, and automated handling systems is a strong advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts including occasional weekends.
