Are you an experienced Engineer looking to step into a supervisory role, or an established Supervisor/Team Leader seeking your next career move? As Depot Foreman, you will act as the key link between the office and the engineering team, supporting the Depot Manager with all aspects of day-to-day depot operations whilst also being hands on. The company are well known for their investment in staff and offer structured industry training to help develop your skills and progress your career.

This role would suit an individual who is either already an experienced supervisor/team leader/foreman or an experienced engineer looking to step into a managerial role. You will need knowledge of generators, have strong commercial awareness and communication skills.

The Role:

  • Manage engineers' workload on a daily basis, allocate weekly service runs to engineers, liaise directly with customers, dealing with suppliers as and when necessary as well as hands on service and maintenance of generators
  • 39 hours per week. Estimated on average 50hrs with overtime
  • Overtime: 1.5x paid weekdays between 6:00am to 8:00am, then 16:30pm to 00:00pm/ 2.0x paid between 00:00 to 6:00am & weekends
  • Depot based with occasional field based work when required (1 in 4 weeks on call rota - earning a guaranteed minimum of 4 hours pay per on-call day)

The Person:

  • NVQ in plant maintenance/equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Supervisor/Team Leader/Foreman experience would be advantageous
  • Experience working on generators
  • Good communication skills
  • Full, UK driving license
