We are seeking an exceptional Group Head of Finance to join an international manufacturing business in a strategic and hands-on leadership role. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior finance professional who excels in both people management and technical financial leadership, with the ability to drive financial reporting, improve controls, and lead a growing, dynamic finance team.

With a complex international structure across multiple business units, this role offers the chance to influence key decisions, oversee financial governance, and directly impact the future of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing finance team, including a number of direct reports (Group Accountants, Finance Managers, and other support staff).
  • Oversee and take ownership of group financial reporting, consolidation, and month-end processes across 20+ international entities.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the production of monthly board packs, group financial analysis, and performance insights.
  • Manage statutory audits, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions and coordinating with auditors.
  • Lead cash flow forecasting, banking covenant reporting, and the implementation of financial governance frameworks.
  • Spearhead system and process improvements, including an ERP system transformation, ensuring scalability and improved operational efficiency.
  • Partner with the CFO on stakeholder and investor reporting, providing high-level financial analysis and insight.
  • Foster a strong, collaborative team culture within finance, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and continuous development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience
  • Strong background in managing and developing finance teams, with a focus on coaching, mentorship, and fostering team cohesion
  • Experience in complex, international, multi-entity environments—manufacturing or engineering background preferred
  • A proven track record in financial controls, reporting, and statutory audits
  • A hands-on leader with strong communication and relationship-building skills, able to engage with senior leadership and business stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to deliver strategic insights while maintaining operational rigor
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
