Daily Cover Supervisor

Veritas Education is currently seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Wakefield & Kirklees on a day-to-day basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, contribute to local education, and work flexibly around other commitments.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide support and encouragement to students across a range of subjects.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues.

We welcome applications from:

• Graduates considering a career in teaching.
• Experienced Cover Supervisors or Teaching Assistants.
• Individuals with experience working with young people (e.g. coaching, mentoring, youth work).
• Confident communicators with strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.

• A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C or equivalent).
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Availability at short notice and flexibility to travel within Wakefield & Kirklees.
