Engineering Teacher - Immediate Start
We're working with a school that's looking for a confident, engaging Engineering Teacher to start immediately. If you've got a background in Design & Technology, this could be a great fit.
About the Role: You'll be teaching Key Stage 3 and 4, helping students build a strong foundation in design and technology, and guiding them through the full engineering process - from concept to prototype.
Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9):
- Focus on creative problem-solving and understanding materials (including smart materials)
- Hands-on mini-projects, technical drawings, and CAD-based design
- Encouraging curiosity and practical skills in design and engineering
Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11):
- Applied study of the engineering industry
- Project-based learning with real-world commercial context
- Full engineering cycle: design specs, client consultation, testing, and evaluation
- Modules may include forces/stresses, environmental engineering, and emerging materials
- Culminates in an externally assessed project in Year 11
Who We're Looking For:
- Someone with D&T or Engineering teaching experience
- Confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons
- Able to hit the ground running and engage students from day one
