A leading global information and communication technology (ICT) company are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Consultant to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of redundancy procedures, employment law, and best practices in handling redundancies with empathy and professionalism. The HR Consultant will play a crucial role in ensuring that redundancy processes are conducted fairly and transparently, supporting both the organization and affected employees.

This is a contract role (Inside IR35) initially for up to 6 months and offers hybrid working at either the Wakefield or Warrington office.

We are able to offer a day rate of up to £350 per day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage redundancy processes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct consultations with employees and their representatives, providing clear and concise information about redundancy procedures.
  • Offer support and guidance to employees affected by redundancy, including information on severance packages, career counselling, and outplacement services.
  • Maintain accurate records of redundancy processes and produce reports for management.
  • Ensure all redundancy procedures comply with current employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with business and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and fair redundancy process.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in redundancy and restructuring.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law, redundancy procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
