Job Title: Serious/Personal Injury ParalegalSalary: £23,000 - £27,000Location: Wakefield, West YorkshireContract: Full time, Permanent, Hybrid Working AvailableThe OpportunityWe are working with a prestigious Top 100 UK law firm, renowned for its innovative approach and supportive culture. This is a fantastic opportunity to join their Serious Injury department, providing essential support to senior file handlers managing complex personal injury and medical negligence cases. If you have experience in a personal injury legal environment and are looking to progress your career within a modern, forward-thinking firm, this could be the role for you. Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to lead file handlers in managing serious injury claims.
- Draft standard correspondence using the firm's case management system (ProClaim).
- Act as the first point of contact for clients and Fee Earners, handling incoming calls and relaying detailed messages.
- Respond to telephone inquiries where appropriate, escalating as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records within ProClaim.
- Work closely with your line manager to meet monthly KPIs.
- Coordinate appointments for Fee Earners and ensure efficient diary management.
- Communicate with the Finance Department regarding disbursements, outstanding payments, and other related tasks.
- Support general administrative duties including document preparation, sorting mail, and managing task lists.
- Assist the team during busy periods, ensuring smooth operations across the firm.
- Consistently meet performance targets in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the business.
What You'll Bring
- Experience working within a personal injury legal environment is essential.
- Ideally, you will have experience with multi-track or medical negligence claims, though fast-track experience will also be considered.
- Strong communication, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach.
