- This role is suitable for design graduates with a minimum of two years of industry experience or established Mechanical Design Engineers.
- Key responsibilities include designing products, ensuring compliance with cost and legislative criteria, and maintaining product specifications and the ERP system.
- Candidates should possess an HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering and experience with 3D modeling, preferably in SolidWorks.

Mechanical Design Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Mechanical Engineer
- Design and engineer products to uphold company best practices
- Ensure that new product designs and any cost reduction designs achieve the target cost price, required launch date, and meet and legislative criteria
- Maintain and create BOM, a product specification, and maintain the company ERP system
- Remain involved in whole lifecycle of a product: liaise with quality department through design process, support production teams during manufacture potentially training assembly operatives, and speak to suppliers/customers where necessary
Mechanical Design Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Mechanical Engineer
- HNC / HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of two years' experience, post University, of 3D modelling (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience with new product intorduction and modification of existing designs
- Working knowledge of ERP systems advantageous
