Labourer / Technician

Based in Wakefield (WF2)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am to 5.30pm (Friday overtime)
Our client is a leader in workplace safety innovation, specialising in the design and build of bespoke access platforms and engineered solutions for the most demanding industries, including Aviation, Marine, Rail, Transport, Utilities, and Construction.
As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking a committedLabourer / Technicianto join their expanding team.
Job specification:
This is a hands-on role supporting the fabrication and assembly of bespoke access platforms and engineered solutions. The successful candidate will assist skilled tradespeople, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed production schedules and workflows for platform assembly(full training given)
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Assemble and integrate platform components according to technical specifications(full training given)
- Inspect platform components and finished products for quality
- Identify and document any defects or deviations from quality standards
- Work effectively with other production technicians and team members
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive information or products
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Friendly and professional manner
- Ability to use hand tools
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes
Person Specification:
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of performing manual labour, including lifting and moving heavy objects
- Dexterity and ability to handle tools and components safely
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the role
