Key Responsibilities

As a Cover Supervisor registered with our agency, you will:

  • Supervise lessons across a range of subjects using plans provided by the class teacher.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Support students with their learning and keep them on task.

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff about student progress and behaviour.

  • Create a positive learning environment and deal with any immediate issues.

Skills, Experience and Abilities

To be successful, you will need:

  • Experience working with young people (e.g., in education, coaching, youth work, or tutoring).

  • Strong classroom management skills and confidence to lead a class.

  • Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability.

  • Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain a calm, productive environment.

  • A passion for working with students and helping them reach their potential.

Teaching qualifications are not essential, but experience in an educational setting is highly desirable.
